Beth Harrison & JCB Grand Prix raises £600 Posted September 27, 2016 by Claire Mogford

On Sunday 4th Sept 2016, Beth Harrison organised the JCB Grand Prix around the Lincolnshire Wolds in aid of Team Bryant, in memory of her dear friend and fellow yellow belly (Lincolnshire born and bred), our beloved Jo, in support of Team Bryant’s aim to reach young people battling cancer.

The day consisted of two route options (all meticulously marked out): one approx. 40 miles and the other approx. 75 miles with a BBQ to reward everyone’s efforts. The start, finish & BBQ was all kindly hosted by the Harrison family on their farm, while all friends and family dug in to provide feed stations, support vehicles and search parties! The event was a huge success, with lots of smiles on arrival at the BBQ and plenty of stories of Jo inspiring them to keep going, especially up the unexpected Lincolnshire hills, which DO exist in the Wolds!

We’d like to say a massive thanks to Beth, her family and everyone who took part in the preparations and the day itself. You deserved the better weather than 2015 delivered and hope it motivates you to hold a JCB GP 2017!

We look forward to distributing the £600 raised among our chosen charities.
